My Background

I've loved taking photographs ever since my parents gifted to me my first camera (a Kodak Brownie) when I was 10 years old. And I'm inspired by the love I have for the great outdoors. I have photographed many different subjects, scenes, and moments, but my passion lies in capturing images in nature and landscape photography. There's a unique view around every bend in the river, across each body of water and over every mountain. I have been extremely fortunate to have traveled to some pretty incredible and awe-inspiring places. I am also blessed to know some very talented professionals who have mentored me and challenged me to look at the world through a variety of positions, lighting and angles. This web site is definitely a work in progress, and my goal is to present you with a unique view of the world through my lens. Please relax and enjoy!

Photography as Communication

I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world and then print images with a focus on the magic I find in daily life. My images tell my stories. All of the images in my galleries were shot with only natural light (except one; see if you can find it). I do not use a flash or other forms of artificial lighting.
