About Me
I am by all accounts, a nerd.
I grew up in the great, wild west (more particularly Phoenix, Arizona) since I was 7 years old and that is long time. I've been married to my way-better half Lori for 34 years and have three wonderful adult children, two beautiful daughter-in-laws and two awesome grandchildren.
I have spent my entire career in the civil engineering field (nerd) and am currently a principal in a large, national consulting firm. For 18 years, I owned a small civil engineering practice in Phoenix with a great partner and the best staff and clients I could have ever hoped for. To say that my life has been predominately technical would be an understatement.
In order to foster more creative output in my daily life, I have looked to photography to help satisfy the artistic side of my brain and to rescue me from the sometimes mundane task of crunching numbers and solving problems each and every day. Photography has helped to express the artist within me and to communicate in ways other than voice or script. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then photography has truly saved my vocabulary!
